We have found that this 4-foot box with 2-foot sides really keeps our outdoor horses happy. They have continual access to hay but a grate sits on top of the hay to slow down their consumption and keep them from tossing the hay out of the box. This keeps them from becoming overweight while also eliminating the hay loss that comes with feeding large bales.
